Rubén Aguirre Fuentes (Saltillo, Coahuila de Zaragoza, June 15, 1934 in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, June 17, 2016) was a Latin American actor and comedian. He is remembered for having played the character of Professor Jirafales, in the series El Chavo del 8 (1973). When he first began looking for acting work, he was told that at 6'7", he was too tall.
